Self-service kiosk ‐ iMin Heron 1

The iMin Heron 1 is a self-service kiosk built for venues where fast, efficient customer service without staff involvement is essential. A receipt printer, barcode scanner, contactless payment support and an NPU-equipped processor all sit in a single unit ‐ ready to run out of the box and managed remotely through the KiwiCloud platform.

Performance

The kiosk runs on an octa-core processor (Dual-core A76 2.0 GHz + Hexa-core A55 1.8 GHz). Android 15 keeps operation smooth even during peak hours, while the available memory configurations (up to 16 GB RAM + 256 GB ROM, plus a TF slot for up to 1 TB) make it easy to match the specification to what the application demands.

Display

The 23.8″ Full HD screen (1920 × 1080) with 250 cd/m² brightness keeps content legible in any ambient lighting. Anti-fingerprint coated glass with 10-point touch registers input reliably even through gloves or with wet hands.

Receipt printing built in

The integrated thermal printer produces receipts at up to 250 mm/s on 80 mm paper, and the automatic cutter hands the printout straight to the customer once the transaction completes ‐ no waiting, no tearing.

Scanner options for every environment

Heron 1 comes with a choice of two scanners, differing in depth of field and reading precision:

• Standard ‐ 0.3 MP CMOS sensor, 30 fps ‐ Suited to everyday ordering points and self-checkout stations.
• Retail Edition ‐ 1.3 MP CMOS sensor, 60 fps ‐ Handles codes on phone screens, fine print and damaged labels, with added MRZ support for scanning ID documents and passports.

Comprehensive payment support

The kiosk accepts EMV chip card payments, NFC and SoftPOS as well as QR codes ‐ no external terminal required. The 2 MP front camera with a 75° field of view supports facial recognition through third-party software. A 3W stereo speaker with dual microphones and noise reduction opens the door to voice-driven customer interaction.

Connectivity and ports

Wi-Fi 6, Ethernet 1000M, Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC come as standard. The port selection is equally generous: USB 3.0 Type-A × 4, USB 2.0 Type-A × 1, USB 2.0 Type-C × 1, HDMI × 1, RJ45, RJ12, RJ11, DB9 × 2, Pogo pin × 2 and a 3.5 mm jack. The HDMI output connects a second screen without additional adapters.

Installation in any setting

Depending on the base version, Heron 1 can stand on the floor, sit on a counter or mount to a wall via VESA bracket ‐ fitting the available space and the layout of the venue. The front cover is removable, and dust and moisture resistance keep the unit reliable in demanding environments.

The modular build of Heron 1 makes it straightforward to tailor the kiosk to specific requirements with dedicated accessories:
