Retransfer printing technology is the next step beyond direct-to-card printing. The image is first printed onto a film, then transferred from the film onto the card.
Colours come out more vivid and images sharper than with direct thermal printing, while the high 600 dpi print quality makes it possible to reproduce small text, intricate characters and crisp 2D barcodes with precision.
