CINO FA590 Barcode Scanner

The CINO FA590 is a modern 2D device designed by Cino for fast and precise reading of barcodes and QR codes in industrial and commercial environments. It is a development of the proven FA series, offering even higher performance, accuracy and mounting flexibility. Thanks to the improved AI-supported FuzzyScan technology, the FA590 guarantees reliable operation even in the most demanding conditions.

Reading performance and precision

The device uses a global-shutter matrix with a resolution of 1.3 megapixels, capable of capturing up to 120 frames per second, ensuring instant and stable barcode reading in a variety of applications. The scanner features a wide field of view and exceptional motion tolerance, enabling effective reading of codes from both stationary and moving objects. Depending on the version, the FA590 offers different range and reading angle configurations – from models for dense DPM codes to wide-angle scanning variants ideal for automated workstations.

The scanner provides seamless reading of difficult, dirty, damaged or distorted codes on various surfaces, including LCD screens. FA590 models feature high motion tolerance – they can read codes moving at speeds of up to 920 cm/s.

Design and flexible mounting

The compact and durable design with IP54 sealing protects the device against dust, moisture and drops from heights of up to 1.5 m, making it reliable in continuous operation. Thanks to mounting holes located on five sides of the housing, it allows installation in many positions – horizontally, vertically or at an angle, providing maximum flexibility for integration with existing systems.

Integration and compatibility

The scanner supports USB HID, USB VCOM and RS232 interfaces, making it easy to integrate with POS systems, ERP, automation devices and industrial terminals.

FA590 models:

The FA590 is available in several variants tailored to different applications, allowing the model to be perfectly matched to specific application requirements:

1. HD Model:
   • Designed for reading dense codes with moderate range.
   • Minimum resolution: 2.3 mil for Code 39, 4.5 mil for DM/QR.
   • Reading range: up to 20 inches (13 mil UPC/EAN code).
2. SR Model (Standard Range):
   • Universal model providing an excellent balance between range and reading accuracy.
   • Minimum resolution: 2.7 mil for Code 39, 4.8 mil for DM/QR.
   • Reading range: up to 28 inches (13 mil UPC/EAN code).
3. MR Model (Medium Range):
   • Optimised for scanning from greater distances and high motion tolerance.
   • Minimum resolution: 3.0 mil for Code 39, 5.0 mil for DM/QR.
   • Reading range: up to 17 inches (13 mil UPC/EAN code).
4. UW Model (Ultra Wide Angle):
   • Exceptionally wide field of view 73.2˚ H × 63.8˚ V, ideal for automation systems, reverse vending machines and self-service terminals.
   • Minimum resolution: 3.8 mil for Code 39, 7.0 mil for DM/QR.
   • Reading range: up to 14 inches (13 mil UPC/EAN code).
